Arvind Kejriwal faced a lot of criticism for asking the Government for the proof of the Indian Army’s surgical strikes which was conducted earlier this month across the LoC. However, he was praised by the Pakistani media for backing Pakistan. And since then Kejriwal is called as “Hero of Pakistan”.
Now, Ahead of Arvind Kejriwal’s Gujarat rally, banners carrying his photographs along with Burhan Wani, Hafiz Saeed, and Osama bin Laden, terming them as “heroes of Pakistan”, have appeared in Surat city. Kejriwal is on a four-day visit to Gujarat to woo the Patel community ahead of the 2017 Assembly elections.
And as always, Kejriwal blamed BJP for the posters.
“The banners had been put up by BJP workers as they don’t want Kejriwal meeting to take place. We have removed eight such banners. We are expecting over one lakh people to attend Kejriwal’s public meeting. AAP leaders Kumar Vishwas and Sanjay Singh will also accompany Kejriwal,” Surat AAP spokesperson Yogesh Jadvani said, as reported by the Indian Express.
However, BJP denied the claim. Gujarat BJP convener Harshad Patel said that it was the natural reaction from the people against him for his anti-national stand.
“These posters are a natural reaction of people against Kejriwal’s anti-national stand. He would receive such welcome at any place in India. However, he would get a red-carpet welcome in Pakistan. I am sure that if something goes wrong in his rally, he will blame our leaders, saying that it was done at the behest of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. He must have kept his script ready if things do not go down as per their plans,” Gujarat BJP convener Harshad Patel, as reported by DNAindia.com.
You took anti-national stand, so it’s natural for the nationalists to react against you!! You only have taken Pakistan’s side, then why all this drama Mr. Kejriwal?
