Currently, Rahul Gandhi is in Europe and enjoying New year celebrations. Meanwhile, Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani helped a family who first sought help from Rahul Gandhi.
Mohd. Yusuf was employed as a driver in Riyadh since September last year. On December 10, he died in an accident. And since then, his family had been approaching the Prime Minister Office, Ministry of External Affairs, UP chief minister and local Samajwadi Party MLA Asha Kishore for the body to be brought to India. And On December 23, the family met Rahul with an application.
But the family did not get help from anyone. And when Smriti Irani came to know this, she called Yusuf’s family and assured them all help in bringing the body back to India.
Later, Indian Embassy contacted the family and completed all the formalities to bring the body back to India.
And on Friday evening, Yusuf’s body arrived at Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport.
Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs of India also helped Smriti in the matter.
Below is a tweet of Sushma Swaraj regarding the matter:
