In honour of Dipa Karmakar & Lalita Babar, Sehwag urged PM Modi to name a plane and a train after them

Indian Cricketer Virender Sehwag has requested PM Modi to name a special plane and a train after the two young athletes of Rio Olympics: Dipa Karmakar, and Lalita Babar. 

Sehwag posted a tweet saying “Though our champions at RIO have thus far not won a medal for their incredible efforts and skills, the way some of them have fought against all odds has been amazing.”

“I would request Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji to consider naming a special plane and a train after these two young athletes,” he added.

Gymnast Dipa Karmakar created history by finishing fourth in the vault final and long distance runner Lalita Babar finished 10th in the final of the women’s 3,000-metre steeplechase. Lalita became the first Indian woman to qualify for an individual Olympic track event.

Urging Government to honour these two champion athletes, Sehwag posted the following tweet:
