On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that he would visit Pakistan and arrived in Lahore three hours later. At such a short notice, there was no other option for the Indian delegation than to land in Lahore without visas from Afghanistan. WSo not the entire delegation was allowed to leave the airpost, however national security adviser Ajit Doval, foreign secretary S Jaishankar and external affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup travelled with Modi to the Sharif residence.
Here is a video of a Lahore based journalist who has amused with his not so witty sense of humour. He goes on saying that “For the first time in history, close to 120 people have landed in Pakistan without visas,”
