We all know that PM Modi is a workaholic. He wants himself to be known as ‘Pradhan Sevak’ and not as ‘Pradhan Mantri’. This shows his dedication towards his work. He wants to serve the Country; he wants to work for the betterment of the Country.
We have heard many times that PM Modi has not taken a single leave after taking charge as a PM. And now again responding to an RTI applicant, PMO’s office had said that PM Narendra Modi took no leave after taking charge as a Prime Minister of India.
The RTI was filed to get a copy of leave rules and procedures for the Prime Minister of the country from PMO and the Cabinet Secretariat.
In a response to an RTI applicant, the PMO said: “The Prime Minister can be said to be on duty all the time.”
As per the reports of PTI, the RTI also sought information regarding the leave taken by former Prime Ministers Manmohan Singh, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, HD Deve Gowda, IK Gujral, PV Narasimha Rao, Chandrashekhar, VP Singh and Rajiv Gandhi.
And PMO said to this : ‘Information regarding leave record of previous prime ministers is not a part of records held by this office. However, it may be noted that no leave has been availed by present prime minister i.e Shri Narendra Modi since taking over charge’.
