Arvind Kejriwal is penniless, so is asking people’s hard earned money as a donation for AAP to contest Punjab assembly elections. And he wants to use this money against Akali’s money, which according to Kejriwal is “ill-gotten money from drugs”.
On Wednesday, he asked people to donate small amounts of money to APP as the party will contest Punjab assembly polls with people’s hard earned money against Akalis’ alleged “ill-gotten money from drugs”.
And here is the reason why Kejriwal is asking for the donations from ‘Aam Aadmi’ and why he did not accept donations from the corporate houses:
“As corruption starts from political donations, if you accept political donations from the corporate houses, you have to give it back by amending your policies to benefit such people,” he said as reported by The Financial Express. He also said that AAP government was able to reduce the power tariff in Delhi only because it did not accept the political donations from corporate houses.
“Donate whatever small money you want to donate to AAP, as your money would be useful to defeat the corrupt regime of Akalis who are all set to spend their ill-gotten money from drugs, not only for their own party but to the ‘friendly’ Congress too”, the AAP national convener alleged.
