In the wake of the terror attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Pampore of Jammu and Kashmir that left eight personnel of the security force dead, Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, on Sunday gave a strong message to our Army Jawans. He said that he has instructed Indian Army jawans to retaliate with full force when Pakistan violates ceasefire or militants infiltrate stressing that they are trained to kill and not to die.
Addressing a gathering at Sarala Bhawan as part of the BJP”s “Vikas Utsav”, Parrikar said, “In the past two months we have killed over 70 percent terrorists, who were trying to infiltrate the Indian borders. And during these operations our men did not die because we had already told them that I respect martyrdom, but you are trained to kill the enemy, not to die.
Giving Motivation to Army Jawans, Parrikar said, “Security forces have been clear instruction that they must hit back at enemies with full power if threatened. ”Moreover, we have given them instructions that if anyone threatens you give them a reply with guns. What did I do” I just gave them the confidence.
