We all know Barkha Dutt’s love for Pakistan. She is a Pakistan sympathiser. She sympathises for the terrorists like Burhan Wani, she speaks against the scrapping of Indus Water Treaty, she speaks against the banning of Pak Artists working in India. But these are the recent incidents in which we have seen Barkha’s love/sympathy for Pakistan. Her love for Pakistan is nothing new. And here is one such incident which happened three years back.

It was in September 2013, when Pak PM Nawaz Sharif humiliated Manmohan Singh, the then Prime Minister of India. Nawaz Sharif called Manmohan Singh ‘A Dehati Aurat’ and Barkha Dutt was also present at the meeting in which Nawaz Sharif had passed this comment on Manmohan Singh.

Barkha Dutt of NDTV and Hamid Mir, Executive Editor of Geo Television Pakistan had attended a Breakfast meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in which he said Manmohan Singh is not behaving like a PM but like a Dehati Aurat. When this uncivilised comment of Nawaz Sharif was made public by Hamid Mir, Barkha Dutt defended the Pak PM.

And when Barkha was criticised by PM Modi (the then CM of Gujarat) over her silence, she defended the  Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif in series of tweets.

“The journalists who were sitting in front of Nawaz Sharif when he was insulting our Prime Minister should also answer to the people of my country.” “I want to ask those journalists, I don’t know who were they but journalists of my country who were having sweets sitting with Nawaz Sharif when he was abusing our Prime Minister calling him village woman, I expected those Indian journalists, the country expected them, to refuse the sweets and walk out,” PM Modi said.

Now see how Barkha defended Nawaz sharif in her tweets:

Barkha said that the conversation was distorted by Pak media.  But Hamid Mir has confirmed the off-record comments of Nawaz Sharif that were being reported in the media. you can read it on firstpost.com
